The ingredients needed to make Sooji idli:

  1. {Make ready 1 cup of sooji.
  2. {Get 1 cup of curd.
  3. {Make ready 1/2 tsp of salt.
  4. {Take 1/4 tsp of eno fruit salt.
  5. {Make ready 2-3 of Coriander leaves.

Before you start making the final batter, grease the idli plates nicely with oil. Keep the steamer/ idli stand ready before you you start using the batter to make idlis. After an hour, take out the idli batter, it must have dried a little. Today on the menu is Instant Suji Idli, or Rava Idly.

Instructions to make Sooji idli:

  1. In a pan roast sooji until color changes to light brown.
  2. When it cools transfer roasted sooji into a bowl.
  3. Add curd and salt and coriander mix it well without forming any lumps.coriander works for a great fragrance.
  4. Keep the mixture as it is for 20 minutes.
  5. After 20 mins and add 2 more spoon of curds if required to prepare idli batter consistency.
  6. Add eno and mix the batter gently and immidiately pour the batter into greased idli plate.
  7. Steam for 15 mins on medium flame and you can chk the idlis with a knife if cooked or nt or cook for 2-3 mins more.
  8. Idli is ready serve it with sambhar or chutney.
