  1. {Take 1/4 kg of Minced mutton.
  2. {Prepare 200 g of Chanadal.
  3. {Get 1 of Finely chopped Onion medium size.

  5. {Get 1 tbsp of Chopped mint leaves.
  6. {Prepare 1 tbspn of Chopped coriander.
  7. {Prepare 1 tsp of Saunf.
  8. {Make ready 1 tsp of Garam masala powder.
  9. {Prepare 1/4 tsp of Ginger garlic paste.
  10. {Get 1 tsp of Lemon juice.
  11. {Get to taste of Salt.
  12. {Prepare of Oil to fry.

Medu vada or ulundhu vada is crispy, fluffy, soft, and delicious south Indian tea time snack or side dish for breakfast. This vada is best served with sambhar, chutney, or enjoyed as it is.   1. Soak the chanadal overnight and drain it well before grinding. And grind it into coarse paste..
  2. In a bowl add the minced mutton, chopped onion, green chillies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, saunf, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, lime juice, coarsely grounded chanadal and salt. Mix it well..
  3. Take a small lime size ball of mutton mixture and flatten it to make vadas. Do the same to all the mutton mixture..
  4. Heat oil in pan to deep fry and fry the curry vadas in medium heat for 3 -4 minutes until the vadais turn into a deep golden colour, crispy and cooked. Enjoy the hot vadas with hot tea..

Medu Vada also known as Ulundu Vadi is a popular and traditional recipe of Tamil Nadu made with Urad dal / ulunthu. This delicious crunchy vada is often served as a side along with Pongal, Idli and Dosa, and also during tea time as snack with some coconut chutney.
