Unlike Pav Bhaji(that is medley of veggies), Misal Pav is made by using lentil sprouts in onion-tomato based curry. It is topped with some chopped onion, tomato, farsan, and lemon juice then served with Pav or Buns.

  2. {Take 1 1/2 cup of sprouted moong chana.
  3. {Take As needed of Water.

  7. {Prepare 1 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
  8. {Take 1 tbsp of White seasme seeds.

  11. {Prepare Handful of Coriander leaves.
  12. {Prepare 1/4 cup of dry coconut.
  13. {Get 1 inch of cinnamon stick.

  15. {Make ready 1/2 tbsp of pepper corns.
  16. {Get 6-7 of garlic cloves.
  17. {Take of For tempering.
  18. {Get 4-5 tbsp of Oil.
  19. {Take 2 of chopped onion.
  20. {Prepare 1 of chopped tomatoes.
  21. {Prepare 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  22. {Take 1 tbsp of Red chilli powder.
  23. {Get to taste of Salt.
  24. {Take as needed of Water.
  25. {Take of For serving.
  26. {Make ready 1 of Chopped onion.
  27. {Take 2 tsp of Lemon.
  28. {Get 1/2 cup of Mixture bhujia.
  29. {Make ready as needed of Pav.

Misal pav is a popular dish from Maharashtra, India. It consists of misal (a spicy curry usually made from moth beans) and pav (a type of Indian bread roll). The final dish is topped with farsan or sev, onions, lemon and coriander (cilantro). It is usually served with bread or rolls toasted with butter and buttermilk or curd and papad.

Instructions to make Misal pav:

  1. For masala:- Take a pan dry roast all the masala except coriander leaves and grind them by adding coriander leaves..
  2. Boil sprouts in a cooker till 1 whistle or untill it cooked..
  3. Take a pan heat up some oil add onion and saute till golden brown then add tomatoes and cook till soft then add all the spices and mix then add masala paste and cook for few minutes then add boiled sprouts, water and salt and cook for 5-10 min in low flame and serve..
  4. Now for serving transfer missal in a bowl garnish with onion, lemonjuice and mixture and serve with pav.

Misal is a spicy curry made with mixed sprouts or moth beans (matki) and pav are buns (laadi pav). Misal is garnished with mix farsan (mix chiwda) on the top and also some topped with onion and tomatoes. Misal is made of various kinds and it differs from place to place. Misal Pav is a traditional Maharashtrian dish. Here dry sabzi is made from sprouted moth beans.
