How to Make Any-night-of-the-week Vada Pav

The dish consists of a deep fried potato dumpling placed inside a bread bun (pav) sliced almost in half through the middle. Vada pav, alternatively spelt wada pao, (listen) is a vegetarian fast food dish native to the state of Maharashtra. The dish consists of a deep fried potato dumpling placed inside a bread bun (pav) sliced almost in half through the middle. It is generally accompanied with one or more chutneys and a green chili pepper.

  2. {Get of Aloo masala.

  14. {Make ready 1/4 tsp of Hing.
  15. {Prepare 1/2 tsp of Grated Ginger -.
  16. {Prepare 1/2 of Salt- tsp or as per taste.
  17. {Make ready of Coting.
  18. {Prepare 250 of Besan -.
  19. {Get 2 tbsp of Rice flour -.
  20. {Prepare 1/2 of Salt – tsp or as per taste.
  21. {Prepare 1/4 tsp of Lal Marchi powder -.
  22. {Get of Dry chutney.
  23. {Take 1 cups of moongfali.
  24. {Prepare 4/5 of Garlic.
  25. {Make ready as per taste of Salt.
  26. {Get as required of Lal Marchi powder.
  27. {Make ready 1/2 of coconut.

It is basically a savory slider of fried mashed potato fritters stuffed in a dinner roll. It easy to make and serve. Vada Pao, Wada Pav, or Wada Pao is a budget-friendly and gratifying Indian Style Burger which hails from the streets of Mumbai. The origin of this sandwich is the Indian state of Maharashtra, but this street snack is widely popular across all parts of India.

Steps to make Vada Pav:

  1. Take 9 boiled potatoes, break them..
  2. For preparing aloo masala we will need a kadhai, to that add some oil. Now fry 1/4 rai and jeera in it. Now add 1/4 of hing, 3 tsp dhania powder, 1/2 tsp haldi and 1/4 tsp garam masala..
  3. Now add some coriander leaves in it. Now add 6-7 green chillies, some cloves of grated garlic,1 tsp sabut dhania, 1/4 tsp Dana methi. Roast them well on medium flame..
  4. Now add the mashed potatoes to it and mix everything well. Now add 1/2 tsp or as per taste salt and 1/4 tsp amchoor powder mix them well with the potatoes. Aloo masala is ready. Now prepare the dry chutney..
  5. For preparing dry chutney roast 1 cup moonfali. Roast them in kadhai on a low flame for a couple of minutes until they become golden brown..
  6. Turn of the flame and add 1/2 cup grated coconut. Salt as per taste, and 1/2 tsp Lal Mirchi powder and mix them well. Put them in a mixer grinder jar and grind them. Dry chutney is ready..
  7. For batter take 250 gms of besan, and 2 tbsp of rice flour. Add 1/4 tsp or as per taste salt and 1/4 tsp Lal Mirchi powder to it. Now gradually add water and make a thick paste out of it.
  8. Take a kadhai, fill it 1/2 with oil. Heat the kadhai on medium to high flame..
  9. Now start making vadas. Take a portion of prepared aloo stuffing /masala. Roll it like a ball and coat it in besan batter. Now put them in the oil for frying..
  10. Turn the flame to low and fry them well from both the sides. When they are golden brown take them out of the oil. Vadas are ready..
  11. Now take ladi pav cut it in a half put so. Dry chutney. Put the vada in it and vada pav is ready……

This is the only vada pav you'll ever need to make your best vada pav at home. Vada = deep fried potato patties and pav = burger buns. You can say it's kind of a potato sandwich or burger but what makes it so special is all the chutneys that go with it! We went to Mumbai that year to celebrate new year. Vada pav recipe Mumbai vada pav is a snack made by sandwiching a batata vada in Pav or bun with a generous amount of chutneys smeared.
